Thank you for both Mum’s ceremonies which were incredibly special. Together we did her proud and honoured her and I feel she would have loved the whole tone and the amount of love that was present. You received so many compliments from people who attended Mum’s service at The Old Lodge or who have watched it on the video, hugely impressed and also extremely touched by how you spoke and the things you said. Lots of people said it was as though you knew Mum, you had come to understand her as a person and it came across. I want to thank you for how you cared for us all and held us through this process. I can’t tell you what it meant to us after everything we’d been through. You made it a very beautiful day. You were the person we were meant to have and Mum would have loved you.

Nicola, thank you for all your support and hard work not just helping us get through Dad's funeral, but providing the backbone to it. Your words, while giving that structure, were not lumped into a traditional (and predictable) framework, but light, flexible and agile enough to be interwoven with the other elements, making it all very natural and sensitive. It was wonderful. Above all, Dad would have approved of the end result!

The day of Mum’s ceremonies was a really special day and Nicola, you were a big part of what it made it so. We all felt a deep connection with you and felt held safe by you throughout the weeks we were working on this together and especially on the day. Nicola skilfully and sensitively helped me and my family lay my mum's body to rest after a relatively sudden and distressing death. It's impossible to predict how we will cope in such circumstances but I found that many aspects of the funeral and burial were quite intuitive to me. Nicola brought the perfect blend of openness to support us to do things exactly as we felt right, while also offering helpful suggestions and structure so that things felt balanced yet personal. I found Nicola at all times to be warm, interested in getting to know us and my mum, and her support and presence was a huge comfort at a very difficult time in my life. This gift, alongside the support from a funeral director who was similarly warm and progressive when it comes to burials, meant that we could have the most beautiful possible experience of one of the worst things that can happen to us. My heartfelt thanks.
